"Move" Music Video
Check out our latest project!!! We were honored to be able to film a music video for indie artist Aisha Badru!!! Our students comprised a majority of the crew in which they used the skills they have learned throughout the year and implemented it in various roles and departments. Working under some of Valencias Film Program Alumni who are professionals in the industry, this years class experienced how to collaborate together and learn more about the departments they are interested in and the duties and responsibilities they entail.
Move was executive produced by Inuka Bacote. One of her films she helped produce "Summer of Soul", Directed by Quest Love of The Roots, won an Oscar for Best Documentary Feature in 2022.
This song is a meditative, yet upbeat dance track that Aisha wrote about the healing power of movement during times of depression.
We are so proud of our students for coming together filming various elements, such as powder, rain special effects, underwater and building a basement set in our School of Arts & Entertainment Sound Stage studio. It wasn’t easy but they worked really hard, and it all came together beautifully.
We want to give a special thanks to all of our alumni, and industry professionals who were able to come out and assist on this project. This includes Film Alum, as well as current students and alumni from Valencia's Dance Program.
